Coding clubs
Coding clubs are a great way to connect with other peers and explore your common interest together. Joining these clubs will help you build a supportive community that you can walk with through your computer science journey together. In these clubs, you can create products that solves real issues in your community and explore your tech skill together. If your school doesn't offer a coding club, you should start your own of your own. Talk to your head of your computer science department and gather interested students. You can build robots, games and apps together the possibilities are endless.

AP Classes
AP computer science classes are a great way to prepare for college-level computer science classes. Does your school have AP computer science class or any other tech-related class? if yes you should definitely try them out. If not maybe you should start a conversation in your school about it. After all, no one is too small to make a change.

Like Girls Who Code there many other computer science programs that can be found in your local community. Go to your local library ask them if they offer a computer science program, ask you, neighbors, and peers. These programs will help you explore your interest outside of the classroom.

Girls Who code offers Clubs in all 50 states, Clubs are free after-school programs for 3rd-5th and 6th-12th grade girls to join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models using computer science to change the world. If there isn't one in your community already, you can start one and get funded.

A hackathon is a design sprint-like event; often, in which computer programmers and others involved in software development, including graphic designers, interface designers, project managers, domain experts, and others collaborate intensively on software projects.
